Honourable Minister of State for Environment, Dr Iziaq Kunle Salako led Nigeria into a meeting of the Forest and Climate Leaders Partnership (FCLP) here at COP28 proposing an accountability framework that will create a platform for developing countries common understanding of responsibilities and opportunities to  work together to align around the science and best policy practices. He submitted with applause that  “Until we find alignment, we won’t be working equitably, and the Forest and Climate Leaders Partnership (FCLP) won’t be able to work effectively. We need a strong signal from the FCLP that global accountability is a priority. What we’re doing here should more than just words, and more than just supporting business-as-usual”
